Hello, dear visitor. If you’re here for the first time, this post serves as a short introduction to what this site is all about, so you don’t get confused.
This is my personal collection of recipes. Over the years, I’ve grown tired of saving various recipes and ideas only to realize later that I couldn’t find the one I vaguely remembered. For a while, I used Google Keep to save my recipes, but it was cumbersome and difficult to find and tag everything. I wanted to get a bit more organized with my collection, so I created this site. My hope is that this will provide a proper framework for saving all my recipes in one place for later reference.
Pleaase note, the vast majority of these recipes are NOT MINE. The source of the recipes is always mentioned, unless I don´t remember from where I picked it up. If you like the style, please visit their site, as probably there are so many other good recipes!
What Kind of Recipes Will You Find Here?
First and foremost, you’ll find a lot of low-carb/carnivore recipes. I have a sort of sensitivity to carbs—nothing officially diagnosed—and I don’t always have issues with certain foods. However, when I do, mostly flour, potatoes, and some vegetables make me feel very uncomfortable and cause me pain. I think I need a few weeks of “overloading” my system with these food items to have any symptoms, but when I do, I’m in a lot of pain and discomfort. So, I try to avoid them when possible. An occasional hamburger bun or a couple of slices of bread won’t kill me as long as I give my system enough time between them.
It’s possible that at some point you’ll find items that don’t belong on a mostly low-carb blog (like some very fancy and decidedly not low-carb cake recipes), but I save those as well for rare occasions or sometimes just because they look so fantastic and amazing.
My favorite recipes are the ones that require only a few ingredients and are easy to make.
A Note on Languages
Something that might be strange for many is that there will be recipes in multiple languages: English, Spanish, Hungarian, Romanian, and occasionally Italian, French, or even German. I understand the first 4 languages, and some basic German, but there is always google translate to figure out the rest.
I save them because most of these recipes don’t require advanced skills to make. If there’s a video or pictures, it’s usually quite obvious what they contain or how to use them. I’ll try to tag my collected recipes by language, but of course, I can’t promise that this will always be the case.
Please note that the effort to present these recipes is always made by their respective owners. I’m not pretending to be an amazing cook or a perfect homemaker who does this all day. So, it’s better to visit the sites where I gathered the recipes.
That being said, welcome, and hopefully you’ll find something interesting to make!
A note on the “exact recipes”
I know some people measure everything to the last speck of salt dust… I am NOT one of those people. This might be very annoying for anybody who is looking to cook a perfect dinner, because most probably the collection will contain “wild” guess work recipes too 😀 Please just move on, scroll over to the next… sadly I will NOT be able to help you with decent explanation of portion sizes.
And a final note on the recipes that might not be good 😀
The internet is big, the world of recipes is absolutely staggeringly huge. You can make many types of foods from the same ingredients. And once in a while some recipes show the wrong ingredients, or are fake, created for audience. I hope I can spot these and not post them, but it’s quite possible that I just run into a recipe, I like it, I want to try it, and save it BEFORE I even watch it fully… am am already sorry for those 😀
